Headhunterz’ nieuwe track

Op Defqon.1 in 2017 maakte Headhunterz bekend dat hij officieel teruggekeerd is naar de hardstyle. Om dit te vieren, gaf de artiest eind september zijn eigen feest in de Ziggo Dome, ook wel bekend als ‘The Return of Headhunterz’. De line-up bestond dan ook uit de beste vrienden van Headhunterz. Tijdens sets werden verschillende oude tracks gedraaid om het publiek te laten herinneringen wat er ook alweer speciaal was aan Headhunterz.

Natuurlijk werden er, naast zijn oudere platen, ook wat nieuwe nummers gedraaid. Hieronder viel de collab met Sub Zero Project, bekend als ‘Our Church‘. De track gaat van start met een hele harde kick, en wordt opgevolgd door verschillende geluiden die je doen denken aan een kerkklok. Uiteindelijk komt de climax met een typische Headhunterz melodie waarbij je benen van de vloer gaan. Verder zijn er nog tracks gedraaid als ‘Path of The Hunter‘, ‘On The Block‘ en ‘Can’t Stop Us Now‘ geproduceerd samen met Wildstylez en Noisecontrollers.

Verder kwam er afgelopen week een Youtube-video online van een andere track, genaamd ‘Takin It Back’. Wederom zijn er in de track typische Headhunterz elementen aanwezig. Dit zorgt dus voor een terugkomst zoals velen het wenste. Geen nieuwe stijlen, maar de pure oude Headhunterz stijl is terug. Na ‘Destiny’ is dit nu de tweede release van de artiest sinds zijn terugkomst. De nieuwe plaat is hier te beluisteren:

Verder staat er in de videobeschrijving ook nog een hoop tekst. De artiest bedankt zijn publiek namelijk voor alle support die ze hem hebben gegeven. Dit doet hij met het volgende bericht:

”Dear Family,

After the warm welcome, the most beautiful night of my life, it is time to start giving back. Time to start contributing new music to the scene so we can make all the memories live forth, but also create many new ones together.

Living up to my official return I slowly began to feel the pressure rising which had a magical effect on my inspiration in the studio. I wanted to get to the essence of what I look for when making music and allow myself to create something out of pure sentiment and nostalgia without thinking too much about current rules or trends. That is exactly what I did when I started out making music when there were absolutely zero expectations from the outside world and what comes out then is exactly that sound that many people associate me with. That is just what happens when I don’t think too much.

Throughout my career there have been ups and downs and I feel connected now to some of my own releases more than others I have done. It’s all been a big learning experience and it still is. In this track I express my vision on the musical direction I desire to go in and that is to keep it as sincere and pure as I can, staying close to that essence inside myself and the essence of how I see Hardstyle.
