At just 14 years old, Miss Isa knows how to win over the crowd with her energetic style. “I’ve received a lot of attention from the media since the beginning, such as radio, television, online, and even in newspapers. On social media, I get a lot of reactions and connect with people from the scene. Some have been following me since the beginning in 2019, which I really appreciate,” she shares enthusiastically. Performing at large festivals at such a young age comes with its challenges, especially when combined with school. “Overall, it’s manageable. Sometimes it gets hectic when everything happens at once, but I’ve learned to plan well.”

Producing

Besides DJing, Miss Isa also wants to create her own music. She is receiving help from experienced producer Neroz. “About two years ago, I realized I wanted to make my own music and develop my own sound. Right now, I play other artists music and make edits and mash-ups, but the most exciting thing would be to play my own tracks.”

Miss Isa en Neroz
When it comes to meeting Miss Isa, Neroz shares: “I got in touch with her through her father, and from the first moment, she stood out. Not only because of her talent, but especially because of her mindset. She has a huge passion and keeps improving herself, which I find very important in my students. Many young artists get discouraged quickly when something doesn’t work out, but she kept going until we found the right sound together.”

Together, they are working on her first tracks. “We discuss my ideas and stay in touch almost daily about how to proceed. At the moment, Neroz is producing the track with my input and feedback, but I am constantly developing so soon I’ll be able to produce my own track,” says Miss Isa.

Authenticity is important to Miss Isa: “People know that I truly make my own music. That way, it’s really your sound and your track.”

According to Neroz, it is essential for an artist to develop their own identity. “The scene is full of talent, and music production is more accessible than ever. What sets you apart is a recognizable sound. That’s why we’ve spent a lot of time on sound design, strong arrangements, and perfecting kicks. Additionally, we’ve looked at her mission and vision as an artist.”

What has Miss Isa learned the most so far? “Never give up. Producing takes a lot of time and effort. In the beginning, it’s tough, but with practice and perseverance, it gets easier.” Her musical preference is (extra) raw, but with beautiful melodic lines.

First track

We don’t have to wait long for her first track. “My first track will be released on March 5th on the Q-dance presents NEXT label,” which is, of course, a major milestone for the young DJ. The track is called ‘The Sanctuary’ and can be pre-saved via this link.

The future

Neroz sees a bright future for her. “The future of hardstyle lies with the next generation of artists. Without guidance, many talents drop out, so I think it’s important to share my experience. Miss Isa has the perseverance and drive to really build a career.”

In a male-dominated scene, Miss Isa remains true to herself. “I never really thought about the fact that there are mostly male DJs. It doesn’t matter to me.” However, authenticity is essential to her. “It’s quite important to me that people know I truly make my own music. That way, it’s really your sound and your track.”

Her ultimate dream? “To perform on the RED stage at Defqon.1 and have more international gigs. I also want to keep growing as a producer and continue developing my own music.” With her determination, passion for music, and the trust of her mentor Neroz, Miss Isa seems well on her way to making her dreams come true. The future is bright, and this is just the beginning of her journey.
