On December 27, 2025, a case will take place in the Vasim Nijmegen that is already making waves. Organizers Classified and Overdrive are both accused of hosting an event that, according to authorities, went far beyond the limits of what is permissible.

What thousands of visitors hailed as a legendary night is described by regulators as inhumane, unbearably loud, and utterly unacceptable. Instead of taking responsibility together, the two parties are now pointing fingers, with both sides eager to shift the blame onto the other.

The charges

Overdrive claims that Classified installed a sound system so extreme that it blatantly disregarded the law. They argued: “Although visitors described it as one of the best sound systems they had ever experienced, the authorities voiced their objections. They called it inhumane, dangerously loud, and completely unacceptable.” What the crowd celebrated as groundbreaking, Overdrive insists, was immediately reclassified as criminal evidence.

Classified, however, counters that Overdrive is solely responsible for curating a line-up that went far beyond all reasonable boundaries. They stated: “If we had known Overdrive was going to put together a line-up this intense, we would never have organized the event with them. With the sheer amount of live acts, B2B performances, and special sets, it was simply impossible to guarantee the safety of our visitors.”

The trial

Both sides have now enlisted legal counsel, preparing for a dramatic showdown that promises to pit two of the scene’s biggest names directly against one another. The central question: who bears responsibility for a day that one side still calls “historic” while the other condemns it as “dangerous”?

On December 27, 2025, the public is invited to watch the case unfold from 13:00 till 23:00 in the Vasim in Nijmegen. Whether it concludes with a verdict, a reconciliation, or yet another legendary afterparty remains to be seen.
