In the latest episode of PLAFONDDIENST – The Hardstyle Podcast, the guys from Deluzion join the table once again. That makes them the very first act to appear on the podcast for a second time. A lot has happened since their previous visit: a packed festival summer, a growing bucket list, an upcoming album release, and of course Supremacy taking place this weekend.

An album of their own had been on the duo’s bucket list from the very beginning. “Ever since we started Deluzion we had it down as a long-term goal,” Bart explains. “At the end of last year we thought: isn’t this the perfect time to finally make it happen?” Max adds: “It also has to be a logical step forward. You can always make an album, but for us it needed to align with how we felt in the studio. And right now everything just clicked.”

Point Zero
According to Bart, the title says it all: Point Zero. “After Paranoid and The Endless Void we’re going back to the basics, to the starting point. We’ve really returned to where it all began for us: the sound that gives us energy. That’s what we started doing this for.”
In terms of style, Bart places the album within the so-called OG raw. “I think the term is debatable from a marketing perspective, but it does cover the essence. Distorted kicks, heavy screeches, raw vocals, a vocalist with a strong voice – all the elements that once pulled us onto the dancefloor.”
Collabs and premieres
Point Zero will be released on November 21 and will feature a total of 18 tracks. Alongside solo-tracks there are collaborations with Ecstatic, Act of Rage, Unresolved, Rejecta and Lunakorpz. “We worked with artists we personally love and admire, and we had a great time with them in the studio,” Max explains.
The album also includes a special interlude, several brand-new tracks premiering at Supremacy, and a remix by Revolve. Bart laughs: “And there’s also one track that Max made all by himself, one I wasn’t allowed to interfere with.”

Showcase instead of live act
There won’t be a live act tied to the album, but there will be a showcase. “We’ll present the entire album at Supremacy, at Shockerz, and later on at another event whose line-up hasn’t been announced yet. That way it all stays fresh and special,” says Deluzion.
