Devin Wild releases long awaited classic on Armin van Buuren’s label Armada Music

Devin Wild finally got his hands on his release of the classic ‘Hold That Sucker Down’. After more than three years, the track is now released on the world famous Armada Music: the label founded by Armin Van Buuren.

“You’ve gotta hold that sucker down”, is a vocal that has been played by the biggest international artists for years. Jerome Isma-Ae released the first dance version in 2009 and then Charlotte de Witte and Sick Individuals made several remixes of it. In recent years, these lyrics have appeared in the sets of Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Chuckie and even last weekend on the mainstage of Tomorrowland.

It provided Devin Wild with the necessary inspiration 3 years ago to make a Hardstyle version of the record. “I once made this version of the song for fun to play it at the Scantraxx livestream,” explains Devin Wild.

“There were no intentions to release if officially, however, after playing it at Reverze 2022 the track received positive response so we started to look into the possibilities of releasing it officially. After quite some time we finally had approval of all right holders and we were able to release it on Armada!” The place where the vocal belongs.

Devin Wild – ‘Hold That Sucker Down’ is now available through the official channels of Armada Music. In the coming months you will find Devin Wild on stage at lots of festivals such as Decibel outdoor, Mysteryland and the Hungarian Sziget Festival.
