Dual Damage and Phuture Noize kick off the season with ‘When Sound Meets Sound’

The official anthem for REBiRTH Festival 2026 has been released today. For this year’s edition, Dual Damage and Phuture Noize join forces on ‘When Sound Meets Sound’, a collaboration where two different hardstyle styles collide: the raw, energetic “kloenk” kicks of Dual Damage and the melodic storytelling Phuture Noize is known for.

With the release of the anthem, the countdown to the start of the festival season has officially begun, as REBiRTH opens its gates again in Haaren on April 10. For both artists, the anthem also carries special meaning. For Dual Damage, this will be their fourth edition of REBiRTH. In 2023, the duo experienced one of their first major breakthrough moments here when, after taking part in the festival’s DJ contest, they played in front of a packed REBORN RAW stage. For Phuture Noize, the anthem marks a milestone: it will be his tenth edition of REBiRTH Festival, making him a long-standing and familiar name within the festival’s history.

Two worlds coming together

The collaboration between the two artists is notable, as their sounds differ significantly. However, that contrast turned out to work surprisingly well in the studio. According to Dual Damage, a clear division of roles emerged during the production process. “We focused on the elements that define the Dual Damage sound, while Marco did what he does best. In the end it really became a mix of two worlds.”

Phuture Noize also highlights that both artists intentionally searched for the right balance between their styles. “We wanted to create a blend of both sounds that would work musically. We had to tweak the sound design a bit to make everything fit, but in the end it turned into a very interesting anthem.”

When Sound Meets Sound

The title ‘When Sound Meets Sound’ directly refers to the collaboration between the artists, but also to the festival itself. Phuture Noize explains that the idea had been in his notes for quite some time. “Our sounds meet, but on the festival grounds thousands of other sounds come together as well. That made it a perfect fit for REBiRTH’s ‘Journey Beyond Borders’ theme.”

With REBiRTH traditionally kicking off the festival season, the artists aimed to create an anthem that captures exactly that feeling. Dual Damage explains: “The feeling that it’s almost time to be outside again, in the sun, raving with your friends. That’s the real message.”

Phuture Noize focused on crafting a melody that immediately sticks with listeners. “We wanted an uplifting melody that people can already sing along to the first time they hear it at REBiRTH.” ‘With When Sound Meets Sound’, REBiRTH Festival receives an anthem that brings together two generations of hardstyle and two completely different sounds.
