Last Saturday, the Brabanthallen in ‘s Hertogenbosch were once again turned upside down during the second indoor edition of Karnaval Festival. The event combines cheerful hoempapa songs with tasty kicks and creates a fun carnival atmosphere, at a festival.

Upon entering, only the temperature indicated that you were not outside. The organizers had not overlooked any detail: the entire arrival hall was decorated with balloons, confetti, streamers, garlands, and lavishly decorated stands. Even without music, the atmosphere was already unbeatable.

Hardstyle Carnival at it’s best

The Polonaise Plein transported visitors straight to the liveliest carnival party in the Netherlands. Performances by Lamme Frans, Vieze Jack, Dr. Rude vs. Ruthless, and others had the audience dancing arm in arm from left to right. Accompanied by many singing voices, a Polonaise regularly wound its way through the hall.

Club de Ketelkamer lived up to its name and welcomed every visitor with a warm embrace. If the temperature wasn’t enough to create a good atmosphere, the music certainly did. With sets by Frontliner, E-Force, Regain, and others, the club shook to its foundations, while the packed room went wilder with every track.

The BOOMBOX couldn’t be left out either, although the famous stage was transformed into the BOOMBUS for Karnaval Festival. The bus was packed all day long, with sets by Flux Overload, Unresolved & Matt Ardeo, and the Eleven DJ Team. The energetic sets and jumping passengers made the packed bus sway from front to back and left to right.

After a short race across the obstacle course, which became increasingly more difficult as the day progressed, the Fanaticz came into view, where Carnival classics were mixed with the hardest rawstyle records. At the Revenge of the Kip, Chapter V and Faceless got the whole audience klaplonging with their crazy costumes and running kicks.

Knotsgekke Karnaval Festival Show

The main stage transported the audience to the village square of Karnaval Festival. Here, Rebelion, Outsiders, Radical Redemption, and others played the most enjoyable hardstyle tracks over the speakers. With enough confetti cannons to cover the entire floor, the atmosphere here was electric all day long.

At 6 o’clock, the village square was packed to the rafters for the Knotsgekke Karnaval Festival Show. The 11-minute show overwhelmed the audience with loud hardstyle carnival songs, flags, beach balls, and a beautiful light show.

No shortage of good vibes

The sound was loud and rich: every record sounded in all its glory throughout the halls. At the Polonaise Plein, the party didn’t stop all day long, and at Club de Ketelkamer, the crowd was dancing like there was no tomorrow. The BOOMBUS and Fanaticz brought fun and energy with delightful carnival edits. On the main stage, melody, hoempapa music, and tasty kicks came together. Just like every visitor, the Brabanthallen were beautifully dressed up, for a day you won’t forget.
