REBiRTH Events and Lekkerfaces are joining forces once again for a brand-new uptempo event, this time dedicated to the next generation. On Saturday, November 7, The Hyper Academy will open the doors of The Dome in Haaren to visitors aged 14 to 17. What makes the new concept particularly special is that young uptempo fans themselves have been involved in shaping the event.

The collaboration between Lekkerfaces and REBiRTH Events is therefore getting another chapter in quick succession. First, on October 17, they will host Lekkerfaces presents: LET’S GET HYPER at Poppodium 013 in Tilburg. The Italian DJ’s first-ever solo event revolves around his HYPER concept, featuring his new live act and several special sets. The 18+ event is already completely sold out.

However, according to the organisation, the response surrounding the event made it clear that another group was eagerly waiting for something of their own. Lekkerfaces received many messages from young fans who are not yet old enough to attend LET’S GET HYPER and his other regular shows. At the same time, REBiRTH Events noticed that interest in uptempo among this younger audience continues to grow.

Young uptempo fans help shape The Hyper Academy

Rather than simply creating a younger version of LET’S GET HYPER, REBiRTH Events decided to conduct research among the target audience. Young fans between the ages of 14 and 17 were asked about their favourite artists, what they consider important at an event and what their ideal uptempo experience should look like.

Their answers form the foundation of The Hyper Academy. “We already knew there was a lot of demand, both from what we were seeing ourselves and from the reactions Lekkerfaces was receiving,” REBiRTH Events explains. “But instead of deciding for them what their perfect event should be, we wanted to actually ask them. We researched what this audience wants to see, which artists they want to hear and what they expect from an event. The Hyper Academy is where we bring those answers to life.”

Lekkerfaces opens his own ‘uptempo school’

For The Hyper Academy, the world of school and education will be given a complete uptempo makeover. For one day, The Dome will be transformed into a HYPER school, featuring a massive soundsystem, an extensive show and several artists taking on the role of ‘teachers’.

Lekkerfaces himself will be at the centre of the Academy and, in his own words, has invited a number of “extremely LEKKER teachers” to give the visitors a proper uptempo lesson. Who exactly will be stepping in front of the class will be revealed on September 1 at 17:00, when the full line-up is announced.

Dedicated area at The Dome

The Hyper Academy takes place on the same day as 15 Years of Gunz For Hire, which will also be held at The Dome on November 7. However, the two events will be completely separated. The Hyper Academy will have its own dedicated entrance and facilities, including bars, toilets and food stands.

The event runs from 15:00 until 22:30 and is exclusively accessible to visitors aged 14 to 17.

Ticket sales start on Thursday, September 3 at 19:00. Initially, tickets will be exclusively available to those who have registered in advance. Registration for the ticket sale is available via the official website.
