MYST quits: “I’ll make 1 last track”
MYST has just announced that he is ending his career as a DJ and producer. The Nightbreed Records member even released another album this year, but is now hanging up his headphones for good: “I feel like I’ve just hit the tip of the iceberg, when it comes to the challenges I want to face.”

“Make History Before You Go” is perhaps the best-known piece of lyrics in MYST’s discography. After 3 albums and major bookings such as Defqon.1 and many other festivals, the hardstyle DJ is calling it a day. “I have a hard message to share with you today. I have chosen to end my career as a dj.
So I will stop performing and stop producing hardstyle as MYST.”
“I have made this decision because I want to focus on different creative areas in my life. And after almost 15 years of producing hard dance, I have chosen to see what there is more to discover. This year I have released my album, and the reactions on it where overwhelming, I couldn’t have asked for a better response. But I feel like I’ve just hit the tip of the iceberg, when it comes to the challenges I want to face.”

It’s not the last we’ll hear from MYST though. “I’ll make one last track.” This month, MYST was supposed to be on the line-up of a sold-out Reverze, but he has just been replaced by Devin Wild. We wish MYST all the best and he definitely ‘Made History Before He Goes’.
