Mysterious new event ‘Masterminds’ expands hardcore classics era

The brand new Masterminds is about to expand the period of hardcore classics. Although not much is known yet, visitors to Defqon.1 have already been able to scan a QR code and now the Instagram account has been discovered: with an impressive list of the most legendary tracks from 2000 to even 2015.

Millennium and classic fans pay attention, because Masterminds has started giving a special sneak peek of its debut. Under the motto “Remember. Revive. Relive.”, the timeline of the new event shows iconic records such as ‘Payback’, ‘Butterfly VIP’ and ‘Carnival of Doom’ – all tracks that have left a huge mark on the genre.

If you link these tracks to the artists from the possible line-up, then you end up with legends such as Endymion, Ophidian and possibly even The Supreme Team – the legendary formation between Angerfist, Outblast, Evil Activities and Tha Playah that provided the Dominator 2013 anthem. If we dive further into the profile, other grandmasters such as Drokz, Outblast and Art of Fighters are among the followers of the account. That can’t be a coincidence, right? That would be truly epic.

The organization behind Masterminds has not yet been announced, but it looks like the first edition will be a big deal.
