Paradiso has introduced a new measure together with TicketSwap to keep concert tickets affordable and safe. From now on, a price cap of 100% of the original ticket price applies to resale of tickets to prevent excessive price gouging and to give fans a fair chance at affordable tickets.

Paradiso is the first major concert venue in the Netherlands to implement such a restriction. While only a few hardstyle events are held here (although Headhunterz did two sold-out Up Close & Personal shows here), this is one of the best-known venues in the Netherlands – which actively campaigns against excessive prices.
The reduction of the previous limit of 120%, which TicketSwap used as standard, is the result of the rising costs in the event industry and the desire to keep culture accessible. “With rising costs for artists to tour and persistent high inflation, ticket prices are under pressure. Paradiso strives to keep cultural programming accessible and affordable after visiting, which this collaboration contributes to,” Paradiso states on their website.
According to Ticketswap, it also ties in with their mission to offer fair prices and safe transactions to event visitors. Within the harder styles, it is a common platform to still be able to obtain tickets and various festivals such as Defqon.1 have a collaboration with this portal.
“Currently no law that prohibits the resale of tickets for profit”
Paradiso emphasizes that it has been prohibited to resell concert and festival tickets commercially for years. However, due to the lack of legislation that prohibits profitable resale, it remains difficult for the cultural sector to completely stop the illegal trade in tickets.
