The Dutch duo Primeshock will release their first album LIFEH4CK on October 24 via Dirty Workz – a musical cheat code to pure good vibes. In the run-up to the release, the duo explains how the project came together, what LIFEH4CK means for their sound, and how they continue to inspire a growing community through their vlogs and positive energy.

The idea for a full album started taking shape in the summer of 2024. “We had never done anything on that scale before, so we wanted to do it right from the start,” Primeshock says. “Almost everything we make in the studio automatically gets that smile factor: positive energy, motivational lyrics, fun gimmicks, pure party vibes. It’s just in our DNA.” According to the duo, that feeling became the essence of LIFEH4CK. “Hardstyle genuinely makes us happy, and with LIFEH4CK we wanted to capture that in its purest form, like a cheat code to good vibes.”
The four steps of LIFEH4CK: CTRL, ALT, DEL and ESC
While driving to a booking in Austria, the overarching concept for the album took shape. “We’re both total digital nerds,” they laugh. “You can hear that in older tracks like Power Up, Blue Screen of Death and Glitchfest. From that world, we thought it would be fun to connect each chapter to a part of our ‘cheat code’: ‘Lose Control’ stands for CTRL – let go. ‘Alter Your Mind’ (ALT) means look at things from a positive perspective. ‘Take The Lead’ (DEL) is about letting go of worries and taking control. And with ‘Escape’ (ESC), you break free from negativity.”According to Primeshock, these four steps form the core of LIFEH4CK: “Four steps, four chapters, together one LIFEH4CK.”
The music on LIFEH4CK sums up everything Primeshock is known for – but sharper, more energetic, and more mature. “There’s so much hardstyle out there, from super emotional euphoric to extremely raw, but surprisingly little in between,” the duo says. “We feel right at home in that middle ground where melody, energy and party vibes collide.” Some fans label Primeshock as euphoric, but the duo sees it differently. “We enjoy sets from Rebelion, Rooler or Sub Zero Project just as much. With LIFEH4CK, we want to show that melodic hardstyle can also be hard and energetic. It’s uplifting, but the drive and the kicks hit just as hard.”
A look behind the scenes
Alongside the music, Primeshock launched the LIFEH4CK vlog series, allowing fans to follow the entire creative process. “We worked on this album for over a year, so we didn’t want the process to end with just the release,” they say. “Each episode focused on one track – how it came to be, what inspired it, and why it makes us so excited.” The series strengthened their bond with fans. “The music speaks for itself, but the vlog series made it more personal. Fans could see that LIFEH4CK isn’t just a collection of tracks, but a story they’re part of.”
With their first album, Primeshock aims to push their sound further and spread a clear message. “We think the scene could be a bit more open-minded about what ‘fits’ within certain styles,” they say. “For us, it’s all about the positive feeling. We hope everyone who listens to this album gets a huge smile on their face and instantly feels like partying.” Their motto remains the same: good vibes only. “Listening to hardstyle is already a LIFEH4CK in itself,” they conclude.
