Last month, Qlimax The Source turned out to be a resounding success, as a replacement for the largest indoor harder styles event in the world. Hardstyle fans from all over the globe tuned in: more than 20.000 tickets were sold in 80 different countries. Since then, many fans have wondered when they could see this impressive show (again), with Sub Zero Project, Phuture Noize, Headhunterz & JDX, B-Front, KELTEK and Sefa. But Q-dance now has a unique answer to this.
Qlimax The Source is the first hardstyle production ever to be released on Netflix. “2020 was of course a very challenging year for us, forcing us to innovate even more than we already did”, says Jonas Schmidt (Creative Director at Q-dance). “We are therefore proud that not only our fans , but also a party like Netflix thinks Qlimax The Source is just as spectacular as we do. We can’t wait to bring hardstyle and the mystical character Qlimax is known for to people’s homes on the 22nd of December.”
Janey van Ierland (Manager Acquisitions & Co-Productions Benelux at Netflix) is also delighted with the collaboration: “Q-dance has organized a fantastic virtual dance event with Qlimax The Source. We are very happy that we can present this to a worldwide audience and give hardstyle fans a bit of a festival experience in this way.”
