Rebelion are stepping into a bold new era. Their latest album, Beyond The Horizon, represents not only a fresh creative chapter but also a moment of reflection and rediscovery. “After three years of Overdose, we felt it was time to take a step back and reconnect with the true Rebelion sound: still hard-hitting, but with a more melodic edge.”

Gary O’Dea & Raymond Baird, better known as Rebelion, have always been fascinated by the mysteries of the universe. That curiosity shaped the sonic and visual identity of this album. “You could say we ventured into the unknown – going Beyond The Horizon to discover what’s next for us,” the consecutive Best Artist of the Year award winning act explains.

Rebelion goes in depth on Beyond The Horizon: A New Dimension of Hardstyle

“There are many space-themed tracks on the album, and the visuals for several singles also follow this cosmic concept. So creating these tracks and releases this year was an incredibly fun experience. The look and feel of the album cover is definitely one of our favorites ever!”

Now seven albums deep into their career, Rebelion still find ways to evolve. “Beyond The Horizon takes Rebelion into a whole new dimension,” is what the Acid Reign label owners say about the difference between all the other albums. “While we’ve always stayed true to our hard-hitting sound, this album explores a more melodic side without losing the energy and intensity fans expect from us. It’s a combination of the signature Rebelion sound with fresh elements, and overall tracks that are designed to take listeners on a journey.”

This album has it all for the hardest dance floors all over the world

That commitment to exploration wasn’t just thematic: it extended deep into their production process. “Sounds-wise, we started from scratch on so many elements,” says Raymond when we ask what their angle was for the album. “We really wanted to approach this album in a fresh way, experimenting with new techniques and sounds that we hadn’t explored before. We pushed ourselves to create something that feels both familiar for the true Rebelion fans, but would also feel new and fresh.”

Fans have already had a taste of the record with tracks like ‘Aliens on Acid’ and ‘We Own The Night’, but there’s plenty more to come. “We think many fans are excited to finally hear songs like ‘Alone’ and ‘Come Together’,” Gary tells excitingly about the tunes on the album. “At the same time, tracks like ‘Rebel Fever’, which is a harder song, are Rebelion through and through so we’re sure people will be digging that one a lot as well.”

In total, there are 17 tracks available. This includes 9 solos, 4 collabs (with Vertile, TOZA and The Straikerz and Micah Martin, 2 edits, 2 remixes (by Ecstatic and Vexxed) on the album.

Rebelion interview about Beyond The Horizon album

“Expect tons of special effects and fireworks throughout at REBELLiON Indoor”

The Beyond The Horizon live experience has already proven itself on some of the world’s biggest stages. “The show is everything Rebelion stands for: a good balanced mix between the harder Rebelion stuff and the more melodic stuff supported by a massive show,” the duo says about these massive performances. “The premiere at REBiRTH was absolutely insane. Next to many other insane shows like Knockout Outdoor in Australia, Sana Duri in Sweden, and Fabrik in Spain, to major Dutch events like Supremacy, Decibel, and WiSH Outdoor. It’s been an amazing run with this show!”

That run will soon come to a spectacular close at REBELLiON Indoor in Haaren. “This will be our official album showcase and also the final Beyond The Horizon show in the Netherlands, featuring an absolutely insane production,” they promise. You can expect a whole lot from their set this month. “It’s The Impulse show, so expect tons of special effects and fireworks throughout the set. To make it even better, we’ll be playing a full 60-minute set packed with album tracks, so make sure you don’t miss it!”

“You can’t see what’s beyond the horizon… Time will tell”

As for what lies beyond Beyond The Horizon? The duo prefer to keep things mysterious. “That’s the intriguing part,” they say with a grin on their faces. “You can’t see what’s beyond the horizon… Time will tell.”

The Beyond The Horizon album by Rebelion will be released on the 14th of November 2025 on Acid Reign. You can pre-order a physical copy right here and also pre-save the album on Spotify.
