Rejecta: “I have waited four years for the perfect moment”
When Frequencerz played not just one, but two unknown tracks in their set at Qlimax 2017, a question arose. “Who’s tracks are these?” After a long periode of secrecy and hard work, the word got out right before X-Qlusive Frequencerz: after years of isolation it was finally time for this man’s big debut. An exclusive interview with Rejecta about his career that took the scene by storm: “I wanted to make a perfect first impression, I think that went pretty well.”
Wesley Joosten, now known as Rejecta, made a careerswitch after his studies. “I decided to go all out and spend 60 hours a week in the studio”, Rejecta tells us in front of the camera. He always felt he should only release a track when he knew the time and quality were right. This led to his tracks being played for the first time during the biggest indoor event in our scene. “At Qlimax, I stood in the insanely big crowd and I heard ‘Deserve To Die’ banging from the speakers. I couldn’t believe they were playing MY tracks in the GelreDome.” We spoke with the rising hardstyle-star about his productions, career and his future.

Rejecta’s track ‘Followed’ topped the Spotify Viral Top 50 charts in the Netherlands and he has played at Intents Festival and Defqon.1 to name a few. “I heard people had to watch from the stairs to witness my set in the slightest during X-Qlusive Frequencerz…. Totally insane.”
