The first name for the indoor edition of Vroeger Was Alles Beter has been revealed: Showtek will return to hardstyle on Friday, October 25 with an exclusive throwback set at the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch. The performance is entirely dedicated to their iconic era surrounding the album ‘Analogue Players In A Digital World’, a pure classics-only set featuring nothing but original hardstyle tracks from their early years.

“Take the red pill and join us into lala land”
The announcement came via a short video in which Showtek speaks about a special show this fall. With the words “Take the red pill and join us into lala land”, they refer not only to their well-known track FTS, but also to the overarching Matrix theme that seems to shape this edition of VWAB. “We are Showtek and we got something very special for you. We’re going back to our roots this fall. We’re gonna play at VWAB… one night only back to the real sound.” The throwback set is a full tribute to their hardstyle years – no remixes, no edits, just a raw, unfiltered classics-only experience and a rare homage to the sound that laid the foundation for their later international success.

Showtek, consisting of brothers Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen, played a key role in the rise of modern hardstyle. With tracks like FTS, Party Lover and The F-Track, they became one of the genre’s most influential acts. In 2012, the duo shifted their focus to EDM and went on to score global hits alongside David Guetta, Major Lazer and Tiësto. A return to their original style is rare and for many fans, long overdue.

Vroeger Was Alles Beter takes place on Saturday, October 25 at the Brabanthallen. Tickets will be sold through a Loyalty Sale starting on Tuesday, July 22 at 19:00.
