APEX – Germany’s biggest indoor hardstyle event – kicks off the new year with the first soundtrack of the year. For this biggest edition so far, Sound Rush has the honor of providing the OST (with vocals by Atilax) and so the countdown to this big show has begun: with 22 artists and a build-up of classics, from hardstyle to uptempo, on 1 gigantic mainstage. “Step Into The Light.”

After the unveiling of the spectacular line-up for APEX 2025, Musical Madness is not sitting still. Today, the official soundtrack of Germany’s biggest indoor hardstyle event has been released, created by none other than Sound Rush. This duo is known for their energetic, melodic sound and knows how to impress again with this APEX 2025 OST. “We felt like producing this OST more out of our comfort zone after we made the Defqon.1 anthem of 2024”, say the brothers on this release day.
What is the difference between an OST and an anthem?
Some events like APEX don’t opt for an anthem, but for an OST (original soundtrack). According to Sound Rush, there is a fundamental difference here. “In our opinion, an anthem is more about the thematic and orchestral version of a song. And an OST (original soundtrack) is about a “danceable” version of a song made for a specific audience or festival.” You can hear this perfectly in the today released ‘Step Into The Light’.
With the release of this OST, the excitement surrounding APEX is only going to increase. The track immediately sets the tone for what thousands of visitors can expect on February 1st at the Maimarkthalle. Whether you’re a fan of euphoric vibes or hard-hitting RAW, the APEX 2025 OST shows that there are no limits – just like the event itself promises.
