PLAFONDDIENST -The Hardstyle Podcast is stepping onto the global stage. Every Tuesday, we drop a brand-new episode, bringing you the latest from the hardstyle scene. Starting next week, we’re introducing English-language episodes. Around once a month, we’ll welcome an international guest to join us for a conversation in English. And yes, hosts Wouter (Hard News) and Marijn (Flux Overload) have even taken a crash course in English to make sure they can bring you the best stories from the scene, no subtitles needed.

The name PLAFONDDIENST literally translates to “Ceiling Service”, a playful nod to that familiar feeling when you just can’t sleep before or after a festival, and the bass is still pounding in your head (or rattling your ceiling). Since launching in the Netherlands, it’s become the hardstyle podcast for fans of the harder styles, with Wouter and Marijn breaking down all the latest news in events, DJs, and the wider hardstyle scene, while diving deep into personal stories and behind-the-scenes moments with their guests.
More stories, more voices
By introducing English episodes, PLAFONDDIENST can share even more anecdotes, backstage tales, and unique moments straight from some of the most exciting names in the scene. The hardstyle world is full of artists, producers, organisations and MCs who tour the globe, often speaking a different native language. Switching to English for select episodes means fans from all over the world can tune in and connect with these stories and get a rare, unfiltered look at the lives of these guests.
To make the show even more accessible, the two most recent Dutch episodes, featuring D-Sturb and Frequencerz, now include full English subtitles on YouTube.
Imperatorz first English guest in PLAFONDDIENST
The very first English-language episode will be released this coming Tuesday, featuring none other than Imperatorz. The German raw hardstyle producer is known for his powerful productions and intense live performances. In the episode, Big K talks about how he first got into hardstyle, his decision to retire, the highlights of his career, and he also looks ahead to what’s still on the agenda before he steps away in November.
The English-language premiere with Imperatorz will be available from Tuesday on YouTube or your favorite podcast platform.
