What started as a spontaneous idea behind the bar has now taken the next step onto one of the biggest electronic stages in the world. In a short amount of time, The Saints have grown into an act you can no longer ignore within the hard dance scene. With their danceable, melodic tracks, they conquer dancefloors and hearts alike. “We want to throw a party and entertain people. A set where friends come together to have the time of their lives – singing along, dancing, going all out,” they explain. And that is exactly what they showcased throughout 2025.

The story doesn’t begin in a studio, but behind a bar in Albufeira, where Rick worked because he couldn’t afford a holiday. It was there that the first serious connection with music was formed. “When we got back to the Netherlands, someone told me to come along to a booking. Not long after, I heard I had to play a set in two weeks. I had never touched a turntable before.”

With that deadline looming, he called Jules, who was already active as a producer and DJ at the time. What seemed reckless at first turned out to be spot on. “He genuinely had talent for DJing. You could see it immediately.” That first step was followed by years of grinding as an allround DJ, often playing multiple nights a week in bars, a foundation that would later prove essential on the biggest festival stages.

2025: A year full of milestones

At the beginning of this year, The Saints took an important step by joining the Belgian label Dirty Workz, known for its strong international reputation within the hard dance scene. What followed was a festival season that felt like a fast-forwarded timeline. The Saints made their Intents Festival mainstage debut, appeared on Defqon.1 BLUE for the first time, and debuted at Supremacy, where they premiered Legacy – a collaboration with Noxiouz & Satirized that immediately made an impact. Alongside the major stages, they brought their Holy Madness live act to various corners of the scene, including Intents Fanatics, Defqon.1 INDIGO, Decibel Outdoor, REBELLiON at REBiRTH, and WiSH Outdoor.

The momentum didn’t stop in the studio either. The Saints teamed up with The Purge on the track ‘OG Raver’, clearly showcasing their shared energy. In addition, a Sub Zero Project remix of ‘The Silence is ready’, with hints of “maybe more” suggesting a potential continuation of that collaboration. At the same time, they are also working on a collaboration with Timmy Trumpet. With a year full of debuts, collaborations and international steps, The Saints confirm their status as one of the most promising acts of the moment.

Ultra Miami debut

The next step followed quickly. Through their label, The Saints heard that Ultra Miami could become an option an idea that instantly took shape. “We heard through our label that Ultra Miami might be an option. From that day on, we put it on our vision board and manifested it every single day.”

What makes the moment truly special isn’t just the stage itself, but everything that led up to it. “The most unreal part is that within one year we’ve built a team around us with people who share the same vision. Seeing each other every day and still living the life we once dreamed of, with so much joy.”

For The Saints, Ultra doesn’t feel like an endpoint, but rather a celebration and a promise. “Ultra feels like a gift to celebrate all of this. It’s the calling card for what’s to come.”
