Years of silence, but ‘the feeling never disappeared’

A teaser released the night before the announcement highlighted that the essence of De Tijdmachine has always remained. The video features the line: “What once began with a feeling. A love, a scene. But then it became quiet. But the feeling, that feeling, never disappeared. Soon we will turn back the clock. And then you’ll see, some things never fade.” The teaser is set to ‘I’m Alive’ by The Pitcher and Slim Shore, a track that symbolizes the classic era of hardstyle.

The official announcement video released today continues that message: “We all felt it. The energy, the connection, the music that brought us together. But now it’s time, time to go back to the basics. De Tijdmachine is back.”

According to the organizers, the return of De Tijdmachine mainly marks a moment to put the original feeling back at the centre. “No distance, no mass. Artists and audiences stand close together again, eyes meet, interactions feel sincere. It’s a revival, but one that revolves entirely around that pure, human feeling that never truly disappeared.”

Tijdmachine 2026 line-up

The line-up includes several notable elements, such as the A2 Records Showcase by Alpha Twins, a rare throwback to an influential label. Both Frontliner and The Pitcher will bring full album projects back to the stage, while Chain Reaction vs Luna present a unique joint classics set with The Classics Journey. Additionally, the Hardstyle Samples Showcase and Pavo’s Early Hardcore Set stand out as direct references to the foundational eras of the genre.
