This week on PLAFONDDIENST, we’re joined by a guest who’s no stranger to a solid dose of ‘bonken’. With a bag of Knauf in the corner, Unload sits down to talk about his first steps into the harder styles, ‘bonken’ (obviously), Knauf, and his very own event: Bonked, which is just around the corner.

“If a track’s good, I feel it through my whole body”
Unload’s journey as an artist started like many others: with a deep love for music. “I’ve always had a passion for music, no matter the genre. If a track’s good, I feel it through my whole body. I really enjoy that.”
But just listening wasn’t enough. Before long, he started DJing, at first in a pretty broad style. “I used to play mostly all-round stuff, but after a while I found that a bit boring. A mate of mine threw a party and asked if I could spin some raw. So I did, and everyone was like, ‘You really gotta do something with this.’” Then the pandemic hit. While the world stood still, Unload did the opposite. “During COVID I was on vacation, and I was bored out of my mind – you couldn’t do anything. So I downloaded FL Studio, messed around a bit… and actually really liked it. And then it kinda got out of hand.”
Bonked: “The definition of bonking”
That out-of-hand hobby has now led to his very own event: Bonked. “We’re throwing a small party, and it’s gonna be sick. It’s gonna be the definition of bonking.”
Bonked marks a new step in Unload’s career, but also a way to give back. “I think it’s important to give something back to the fans. Their support means everything – without your fans, you’re nowhere.” Bonked takes place on Friday, September 5th, at Lunenburg. “Perfect spot for bonking. So if you’ve got nothing to do, you better come!”
