After a series of teasers that hit like a last-minute winning goal, it’s official: Vroeger Was Alles Beter has revealed the theme for its upcoming outdoor edition. Under the name VWAB pres. The Classics Cup, the Autotron grounds will be transformed into a full-fledged sports park on July 11, 2026 – entirely dedicated to hardstyle classics.

“D-Block passes the ball to S-te-Fan!”

The first hints appeared online over the past few days. MC Da Syndrome stepped into the role of iconic Dutch commentator Jack van Gelder, delivering commentary – fully in hardstyle style – on the legendary 1998 World Cup moment that brought Dennis Bergkamp’s unforgettable goal back to life. Where the microphone would normally echo with “Dennis Bergkamp!”, this time it resounded with: “D-Block & S-te-Fan! D-Block & S-te-Fan!”

Adaro also appeared in a recognizable World Cup-inspired supermarket commercial setting, a clear nod to the ads that defined entire Dutch football summers. The tone was set: this won’t be a friendly match, this will be a championship tournament.

An Australian veteran also made his appearance in the teasers. Toneshifterz is seen addressing the press, reflecting on his previous experiences on the mainstage and sharing what fans can expect from this year’s edition.

This summer, the FIFA World Cup will take place in the United States, Mexico and Canada. But closer to home, another battle for glory will unfold. Vroeger Was Alles Beter will transform both the indoor and outdoor areas of Autotron into a stadium where legends and icons from the golden era return to the field. This won’t be a talent showcase, but a main tournament packed with proven heavyweights who shaped generations within the hardstyle scene.

According to the organization, it will be “an epic World Championship, filled with heated moments and legendary players.” All signs point to The Classics Cup becoming the grand final where nostalgia and hardstyle collide, delivering moments that hit harder than a top-corner volley. Traditionally, VWAB Festival features four areas and more than 60 artists delivering classic-filled sets packed with nostalgia. Vroeger Was Alles Beter presents: The Classics Cup

VWAB pres. The Classics Cup takes place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Autotron in Rosmalen. The first two outdoor editions were completely sold out, so for devoted hardstyle classics fans who don’t want to miss this tournament, the Loyalty Sale starts on Tuesday, February 24 at 7:00 PM.
