A hakking Santa Claus, hardstyle and Christmas at Club Matrixx: for years, XXlerator XX-Mas was a holiday tradition for many hardstyle fans. As part of the celebrations surrounding 25 years of Matrixx, the legendary club night is being brought back to life. On Saturday 19 December, De Vasim in Nijmegen will be fully dedicated to XXlerator XX-Mas, featuring the likes of Noisecontrollers, Frontliner, B-Front, Adaro and Crypsis.

XXlerator and Club Matrixx are inextricably linked. The club night became a household name within the hardstyle scene in Nijmegen and hosted countless editions throughout the years. Christmas was no exception, as the Matrixx traditionally filled up with hardstyle fans for the special XX-Mas editions.
This year, that history gets a new chapter. Following a sold-out XXlerator edition that revisited the early sound, this time the focus will be on Hardstyle Classics. Not only does XX-Mas return, but so does the music that once filled the Matrixx during XXlerator’s glory days.

From Club Matrixx to De Vasim
The fact that XXlerator XX-Mas is making its return is no coincidence. The final hardstyle night ever held at Club Matrixx was an edition of XXlerator XX-Mas. Years later, that tradition is being revived, this time just a few kilometres away at De Vasim.
For the occasion, the industrial venue will receive a complete Christmas makeover. “We’re transforming the industrial Vasim venue into a true winter Christmas wonderland,” the organization promises. According to XXlerator, the nostalgia of Christmas and Hardstyle Classics are a perfect match. “Christmas is already a time that brings back nostalgic feelings, so combining Christmas with both XXlerator and Hardstyle Classics can only result in a legendary night.”
Familiar XXlerator faces return
The line-up also strongly reflects XXlerator’s past. Several artists who regularly performed behind the decks at Club Matrixx will return to Nijmegen.
Frontliner, The Pitcher, Noisecontrollers and Rebourne will provide the euphoric flashbacks throughout the night. From there, the music will gradually move towards the harder side of hardstyle. Jones & Jason Payne will bridge the gap towards raw hardstyle with their Timelapse concept, before B-Front, Adaro and Crypsis bring the night to a close in their own way.
