On March 28, 2026, 30,000 hardcore enthusiasts will gather at the Brabanthallen for Masters of Hardcore. In the latest episode of PLAFONDDIENST, Nosferatu and Kili take a look behind the scenes during the buildup of the event. They share what makes the event so special for them and many others.

Masters of Hardcore returns to the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch for the 18th time this year. The event is known for its enormous scale, spectacular shows, and solid line-up. With seven different areas and tens of thousands of visitors, it is considered the largest indoor hardcore event in the world. This year, everything revolves around the theme ‘Tides of Tyranny’.

“It breathes hardcore here”

For Nosferatu, Masters of Hardcore feels like coming home. He has performed at Masters of Hardcore every year since 2000 and sees little change in the core. “In terms of atmosphere, Masters has always remained the same. It is hardcore, it is iconic, and I always look forward to it.”

For Kili, this edition is extra special. He has been attending as a visitor for more than five years and is making his debut on stage this year. “I heard six months ago that I was on the line-up; that felt really unreal. It breathes hardcore here, which I find very important.”

The stages as eye-catchers

One of the aspects that makes the event so unique for Nosferatu is the stages. “I can’t wait to see the main stage,” he says. “That is quite a happening every year; you can’t imagine how crazy it gets. A lot of attention is paid to the stages.” According to Kili, the stage designs are an unmistakable part of every edition. “They have very unique branding in terms of stages.”

“You prepare a Masters of Hardcore set differently than a regular set”

That the event is more than just a show for the artists becomes apparent when Nosferatu and Kili talk about the preparations for their sets. “I want to go all out for my live act,” says Kili. “I am developing a new kick sound, which I want to test out this weekend. I am going to play a total of six new tracks and maybe a live edit. It is literally going to be dropping bombs.”

Nosferatu and Tha Playah are on the main stage with COMBINED FORCES. With a 45-minute set, the bar is set high. “We’re playing for forty-five minutes, so you want to play the best of the best. I work differently for this than for other parties, though. Masters is iconic, and you really have to put in the effort to deliver a killer set.”

Masters of Hardcore takes place on March 28, 2026, at the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. The main program is followed by an afterparty from 23:00 to 02:00.
