Deetox hospitalized after being struck by lightning

Unbelievable, but true. Yesterday while she was walking her dog Diana Zwerwer, better known as DJ Deetox, was struck by lightning. This terrible news first reached us through a group on Facebook, but quickly after that people close to her asked if the message could be taken down. Many fans waited in awe if this was all nothing but a sick joke or if she was really in danger.

Unfortunately it turned out to be just that. A message just appeared on her artist page on Facebook, describing more details about the dreadful event.

“Dear friends, fans, hardstyle lovers, along this way, we want to inform you that Diana (DJ Deetox) is hit by a lightning strike while walking with her dog yesterday afternoon. Her condition is stable, but she will be in the hospital for several checks upcoming weekend.

Diana will not be able to perform at Defqon.1 Weekend Festival this weekend. She needs all the rest she can possibly get, please don’t contact her personally, but show your love by commenting on this post. Her family is with her to focus on a full recovery.

We hope she will get better soon and wish her all the best. Our thoughts are with her.”

The entire Hard News team, and of course the entire hardstyle scene, wants to wish Diana a speedy recovery and hope that she’ll be able to return to her beloved decks in no-time. You will be missed this weekend at Defqon.1, but your health is more important than anything else.
