Crisis Cross Festival

In a time when raw kicks are flying around your ears, there’s another sound rising – and Galactixx is one of the driving forces behind it. In the latest episode of PLAFONDDIENST – The Hardstyle Podcast, he shares his thoughts on the future of euphoric hardstyle, talks about his signature “melody with balls,” and reflects on his journey in the scene.

“I’m not that pessimistic about euphoric hardstyle,” says Galactixx. “I see more and more artists adding euphoric touches to their tracks. Not necessarily going fully euphoric, but harder artists experimenting with more melodic sounds.” According to him, the genre is making a comeback: “I see euphoric stages popping up everywhere, and this season they’re even expanding. Plus, you’ve got Jay Reeve pushing hard with his Melodic Madness, which I think is absolutely awesome.”

“Let’s just call it hardstyle again”

Still, he stays realistic: “Rawstyle is incredibly popular right now and there are a lot of parties focused on that. I can’t expect to be booked there all of a sudden,” he says with a smile. “But euphoric is getting more attention again, and it’s happening step by step. Honestly, I wish we’d just call it all hardstyle again.” He adds: “If everyone could just embrace all styles again, that would be amazing. It would feel like a real community again. Instead of people saying ‘there’s too little of this’ or ‘too much of that’ — we’d go back to good vibes all together.”

His love for classic festival build-ups is another thing that brings him joy: “The great thing about those building mainstages – which thankfully most festivals still do – is that if you’re into euphoric, you can enjoy yourself all day long. Start at the mainstage, and then at Intents for example, you can wrap up the night from 10 to 11 with Wasted Penguinz.” When asked if 2026 could be the year for euphoric hardstyle, he laughs: “Absolutely, we’re taking over! Supremacy anthem by Galactixx!”

“It’s gonna be a great summer”

This year marks a big milestone for Galactixx: his debut at Tomorrowland. “That’s just insane,” he says. “It’s on a stage hosted by the guys from Sub Zero Project – big shout-out to them. That’s honestly one of my biggest dreams coming true.”

And the rest of the summer? “Yeah, there are some sick shows lined up – more and more abroad too, where the energy is insane. I’ll be at all the major events again, playing the stages I love most. It’s gonna be a great summer.”
