Gearbox Digital is shifting back in time on Saturday, 6 March 2027, with a one-off Classics event. During Gearbox Classics – Legacy of Legends, two generations of artists will come together at Klokgebouw in Eindhoven. The label will divide its musical history across two stages, highlighting both the 2012–2019 and 2020–2023 eras. According to Gearbox founder Phil, it will be a unique occasion that will never be repeated.

Gearbox shifts between two eras
With Legacy of Legends, Gearbox is looking back at the artists, tracks and moments that have shaped the label over the years. The event will be divided into two distinct eras, each with its own stage. The first will represent the period from 2012 to 2019, while the second will focus on the years 2020 to 2023.
This brings together different generations from the RAW scene, from artists who helped establish Gearbox’s signature sound to those who have further strengthened the label’s position in more recent years.
That history also takes centre stage in the official trailer. Using a car as a symbol of Gearbox’s past, the trailer reflects on the label’s evolution. “Every artist, every sound, every moment has brought us here. Now, we turn the key once more.”

Rebelion, Rooler and Sickmode return to their Gearbox roots
For the first era, spanning 2012 to 2019, Gearbox has brought together several familiar names from its history. Rebelion, Rooler, Sickmode, Ncrypta, Luminite, Unresolved and Regain are among the artists on the line-up.
Several special combinations have also been announced. Rebelion will join forces with Malice, while Thyron vs Physika and Adventum vs Re-Mind are also part of the programme. AVI8 completes the line-up, with MC Focus taking on hosting duties.
The second generation is equally well represented. The stage dedicated to 2020–2023 will feature Mutilator, Fraw, The Straikerz, Anderex, So Juice, DEEZL, Exproz, Adjuzt and Riot Shift. MC Barricade will be hosting this stage.

“This will be the only time we ever do a Gearbox Classics event”
For Gearbox founder Phil, organising an event entirely dedicated to the label’s own history feels special. With the label approaching its 15th anniversary and the Gearbox brand turning 17, the journey still feels somewhat surreal to him. “It’s quite a surreal feeling to be throwing a Gearbox Classics party, as part of me still feels like Gearbox is relatively new to the scene.”
According to Phil, the one-off nature of the event makes it particularly special. “This really is going to be a monumental celebration, especially as it will be the only time we ever do a Gearbox Classics event.”

“Many artists wouldn’t ordinarily consider playing classics sets”
The line-up itself is another reason why Phil considers the event exceptional. Several artists have since moved in different musical directions, meaning that playing a classics set is no longer something they would normally consider. “I know just how unique this line-up is, particularly as many of the artists performing have moved on musically and wouldn’t ordinarily consider playing classics sets. Everyone has really pulled together to make this possible.”
With Legacy of Legends, Phil wants to celebrate Gearbox’s history alongside the fans. “It’s still difficult for me to comprehend just how much of an impact Gearbox has made on the world of Hardstyle over the years, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate that history than bringing everyone together for one unforgettable occasion.”
