The international harddance scene has come together to support Nosferatu. The hardcore artist, whose real name is Erwin, started a GoFundMe to help his 83-year-old mother remain in her own home. The fundraiser has already raised more than €12,000. “Words cannot describe how thankful I am right now.”

Nosferatu recently shared a personal appeal in which he opened up about the difficult situation his mother has found herself in following the death of her husband in 2022. According to Erwin, she was disinherited shortly before his passing. He says the amended will also stipulated that she would have to sell her home if the family is unable to raise the required amount.
Nosferatu wants to prevent his mother from losing her home
According to Erwin, his mother’s life changed completely following the events surrounding her husband’s death and the settlement of his estate. “My mother was no longer the woman she had always been. As strong, independent and vibrant as she had always been throughout her life, she became a deeply distressed and heartbroken woman, overwhelmed by stress and grief.”
For the past 2.5 years, the family has been doing everything it can to prevent the now 83-year-old from having to leave her home. According to Erwin, attempts to secure the necessary funds through a second mortgage, a personal loan and other financial options have all been unsuccessful.
“We have done all of this because we desperately want to keep my mother in her own home. If we cannot fulfil the terms of the will, my mother would be forced to sell her home and move into a care facility.” The family has already managed to save €25,000 themselves. Through the GoFundMe, Nosferatu is now hoping to raise another €20,000. “Any help, no matter how small, could make an enormous difference to us.”
International harddance scene rallies behind Nosferatu
Nosferatu’s appeal has since been widely shared throughout the harddance scene. Fans are not the only ones contributing to the fundraiser: several artists and other familiar names from within the industry can also be found among the donations. More than €12,000 has already been raised.
He says he is incredibly grateful for all the support. “Words cannot describe how thankful I am right now. Colleagues, organisations, friends and the entire international harddance community are taking action and showing an incredible amount of support.”
The many messages and shares have not gone unnoticed either. “I genuinely don’t know what to say. The amount of messages, shares, help and genuine support coming our way means more to me and my family than I could ever explain.”
He concludes his response with a message to everyone who has supported him and his family: “Thank you. From the bottom of my heart.”
Nosferatu also admits that making such a personal situation public was anything but easy for him. “I’ll be completely honest with you: I felt incredibly weak. I felt like a failure for putting this online, but I simply didn’t know what else to do. With all the support and the action people have taken, I know that feeling will eventually disappear.”
