With his impressive career, Headhunterz has again made a big impression this year with performances all over the world, including his set during The Gathering of Defqon.1 2023. Headhunterz: “I’m going to stop performing”
After many years in the scene, Headhunterz will stop touring after this year. Over the years, the Art of Creation label boss has become one of the best-known pioneers in hardstyle and beyond. Behind the video that Headhunterz just posted on his socials is a big smile. “I’m proud of what I’ve been doing for the past fifteen years,” says the Art of Creation label boss.
Headhunterz: “I’ve realized my dreams as a DJ performing, touring, and traveling the world. And I’m of course really thankful for all of you for taking that journey with me and you know I could have never done it without everyone who supported me – and saying all that it really sounds like a goodbye but of course, it really isn’t – I’m just giving up one thing to be able to fully commit to the other.”
In the coming months, Headhunterz will be performing on the Q-dance stage of Mysteryland and Into The Madness – Germany’s largest harder styles festival. After that, there are several major festivals planned, such as Knockout Outdoor in Australia and AMF in the Johan Cruyff ArenA during ADE. Finally, Heady will do a few last shows in Germany. On the advice of Wildstylez, he will also organize one last event of his own.
“Many of you are also wondering if this is a break, a sabbatical or a full retirement: this is not the end, but a new chapter”
After the planned performances, he will throw himself into music – something that has been paying off since last year. In recent sets you can hear quite a few new Headhunterz records, such as ‘The Flame Inside’ and ‘How Far Can You Go’ with Final Day. In the announcement, Headhunterz says he is working on a brand-new EP: the first track of which will be released on September 15th.
Headhunterz: “I’ve been scared sometimes that people might think that I’m taking this decision from some kind of a marketing standpoint or whatever (…) but, it’s not. It’s a decision that I made for myself, out of my heart, and I really hope that of course people will understand me.”
