Major Conspiracy’s debut album is out! Since Thursday, ‘VOL GAS!’ has been available to listen to. For the fans, it’s a collection of eleven hard-hitting tracks, but for the duo themselves, it’s much more than that. “For us, this is a project where two best friends have worked incredibly hard with a lot of fun, energy, and passion,” Major Conspiracy explains, sharing more about their debut album and upcoming event.

After years of solo hits and impressive collaborations, it was time for Jari and Sunny, better known as Major Conspiracy, to take the next step. “At first, it was pretty nerve-wracking,” the duo says. “Nowadays, it’s quite hard to release an album compared to solo singles. The attention span of listeners is shorter, and with a single, you can target your promotion more effectively.” However, it felt like the right time: “The past seven years have been incredible for us. From two bedroom DJs to something big. The album is truly the crown on our journey.”
The inspiration behind VOL GAS!
The idea for VOL GAS! was born during a time that was difficult for many people: the COVID-19 pandemic. While the world seemed to stand still and no events or parties were happening, Major Conspiracy decided not to sit idle and began looking for opportunities. They started sharing music through videos from Jari’s car. “What started as a simple idea became our big breakthrough. We shared our music on social media, and it took off so well that a time that once felt like hell turned into our breakthrough.”
The duo doesn’t know terms like “I can’t” or “I don’t want to,” because “when you truly go for something, anything is possible.” Their well-known slogan fits perfectly: “Niet zo zeiken, gas er op!” The duo adds, “We don’t get involved in negativity in the scene. So stop whining, focus on yourself, and go full throttle!”
Dual Damage, MC Robs, EZG and Satirized about Major Conspiracy’s VOL GAS!
“VOL GAS, a name that perfectly matches the energy of the album,” says Dual Damage. “With our track ‘Break It Down,’ we look back on a great collaboration. Not always serious, but always hard work and always VOL GAS. That fits perfectly with us. Keep it up, boys!” MC Robs is also excited: “It was a pleasure working with these guys again, and this time it was extra special because it was for the title track! The end result is a perfect mix of hard vocals and pounding kicks. I’m curious what the future holds, because Major is going full throttle!” EZG, who contributed with ‘Kamikaze,’ feels honored: “This album shows how versatile Major Conspiracy is, and they’re here to stay!” Finally, Satirized shares his experience: “What a cool collab this was! I really enjoyed working on Major Conspiracy’s VOL GAS! album, huge hits and a great collaboration. Greetings from Satérijst!”
Major sound
For the album, Jari and Sunny combined their signature ‘Major sound’ with new, experimental elements. “The Major Conspiracy sound is definitely preserved, but we challenged ourselves. The track EHV, for example, is a 170 BPM track with new kicks we hadn’t used before.” The duo also experimented more with vocals and melodies, something they often feel is missing in the uptempo hardcore genre.
The step to an album
“We were ready for a new challenge in the studio, a new project. The idea of a Major Conspiracy album kept nagging at us.” With the motto “the sky is the limit,” the duo took on the challenge and began working on the album in early 2024.
“The past seven years have been an incredible journey for Major Conspiracy. What started as two bedroom DJs grew into something big. After countless awesome events, several Major solo hits, and amazing collaborations with other artists, this felt like the perfect time for our very first album.”
Making an album came with its challenges. “A single is one unique track, whereas an album consists of 11 tracks that must form a cohesive whole without becoming monotonous. That’s quite a challenge, but we’re confident we’ve succeeded!” Additionally, with their own label, VOL GAS RECORDS, they had to handle everything themselves, from the music to the logistics. “There’s definitely more involved than with a single release. But that extra challenge makes this project so awesome!” they add.
VOL GAS! at AFAS Live
Next week, their biggest solo event to date is scheduled. On Saturday, March 8, they will take over AFAS Live in North Holland, where they come from. This is also a dream come true for them: “Ten years ago, we came here to party hard. We stood at the front for artists like Radical Redemption and thought only one thing: We want this too!” Now, ten years later, that dream is coming true with their own solo event in Amsterdam. “This is something we’re incredibly proud of. It’s going to be a night to remember!”
For years, Major Conspiracy has been taking visitors on their ‘roadtrip’ at their events. At GVD 1, they crashed and went to heaven. At the second edition of GVD, it was time to return to Earth “because the party had to go on!” And at the end of that event, visitors could already see that the journey would continue. VOL GAS! is the third chapter of this story.
Visitors can expect a next-level experience, according to the duo. “We will take the visitors on a musical journey. This won’t be a standard party, but an intense experience where everything revolves around energy, speed, and partying!” The event will feature exclusive B2Bs with Dimitri K, The Dope Doctor, and EZG, sets from the best uptempo artists, and of course, the first VOL GAS! LIVE with unique visual shows in VOL GAS! style.
