What usually remains separate comes together. On Saturday, 28 March 2026, ONYX organises The Boys From The Block: Gangs of Extra Raw at Now & Wow Rotterdam, an event in which various extra raw acts are deliberately placed within a single programme.

All under one roof
Within the concept, a conscious choice has been made to present a broad reflection of the current extra raw sound. The line-up spans different movements and approaches within the genre, bringing multiple styles and tempos of the moment together in one programme.
In addition to the musical programming, the story behind the event also plays a central role. The Boys From The Block is built around the idea of cooperation and collective strength, with rivalry giving way to one shared moment. This theme is reflected not only in the line-up, but also in the visual execution and artwork.
“With this event, we wanted to bring all the major forces within extra raw together in one place, with one big uptempo closing as the finale,” ONYX explains. “Having everything under one roof at Now & Wow Rotterdam gives us the opportunity to create something that only works when all that energy comes together.”
Storytelling as a core element of the concept
Alongside the musical content, thematics also play a clear role. The event is built around a narrative of cooperation and collective strength, supported by visual elements and artwork. According to the organisation, this was a deliberate choice.
“When this opportunity came up, the concept immediately started to grow and a lot of ideas came to mind,” ONYX says. “Storytelling is an important part of what we do. We hope the audience sees that reflected in the artwork, the story, and of course the line-up.”
