After seventeen years in the hardstyle scene, the moment has arrived: this today, Physika releases his very last track, titled ‘The Journey’. With it, he not only closes a musical chapter but also an artistic era that began when he was just fourteen years old.

‘The Journey’: A worthy finale
Physika describes his final release as “a worthy closing track that showcases the pure hardstyle sound as I’ve developed it over the years.” In his own words, it’s “giving it my all one last time,” with the goal of creating a track “that will hopefully stay with people for a very long time.”
The choice of title, ‘The Journey’, is no coincidence – it symbolizes the path he’s walked as an artist. With a recognizable and consistent sound that stays true to his roots, the track offers a final glimpse into his musical identity.
The reason behind his farewell
In an earlier statement, Physika explained why he made this decision. For years, he combined his artist career with his work as a physical therapist, the name ‘Physika’ even stems from that. “It was a lot, but it worked because I loved doing it,” he writes.
However, since the birth of his daughter, his priorities have shifted. He also noticed that his music no longer resonated with the current sound in the scene: “I simply no longer feel a connection to the music that’s popular now.” For Physika, that was the moment to remain true to himself: “I’ve always promised myself not to change my style just to stay relevant.”
An impressive résumé
Physika leaves behind a career filled with achievements. He performed at every major festival he once dreamed of, and released over 50 tracks on labels such as Gearbox, Scantraxx, Roughstate, and My Way. His music garnered millions of streams, and he performed in thirteen different countries.
A Word of Thanks
In his farewell, he thanks everyone who made his journey possible: from fellow artists and booking agencies to the fans who supported him throughout the years. “Without you, this success wouldn’t have been possible.”
