After a weekend no one could have predicted, Defqon.1 is finally getting a symbolic finale. Q-dance has announced that the long-awaited Defqon.1 Endshow will premiere worldwide on YouTube tonight at 20:00. It offers a shared closing moment for a festival weekend that came to an abrupt end due to extreme weather conditions.

When Defqon.1 was cancelled for the remainder of last weekend, it seemed as though countless iconic moments had been lost forever. The RED stage was never officially opened, as it traditionally welcomes visitors for the first time on Friday. As a result, thousands of Weekend Warriors never got the chance to witness the impressive structure in person. It also seemed that the legendary Endshow would never get the stage it was created for.

Still, rumours began circulating on Saturday evening. Warriors staying at nearby holiday parks reported hearing fireworks coming from the festival grounds. Before long, fans started speculating that Q-dance might have recorded the Endshow without an audience.

Forver One Tribe

Those rumours have now been confirmed. Q-dance announced today that the Defqon.1 Endshow will premiere worldwide on its YouTube channel tonight. Following the cancellation, the show was still performed on the empty Holy Grounds and captured in its entirety, including live acts, special effects, and fireworks.

According to Q-dance, the online premiere is about much more than simply sharing the Endshow. The organization wants to bring Warriors from all over the world together one more time, allowing the Tribe to give this extraordinary edition the farewell it deserves.

“Nothing can replace the experience of The Endshow on the Holy Grounds of Defqon.1, together with more than 70,000 Warriors. But after everything that happened last weekend, we wanted to give the Tribe one more moment to come together. Tonight isn’t about what we missed out on, but about celebrating everything we’ve built together and what connects us.”
– Sander Bijlstra, Managing Director of Q-dance.

As a result, the impressive RED stage will finally come to life for the worldwide hardstyle community, despite the absence of thousands of visitors. The online premiere is centered around the message of Forever One Tribe: looking back on an unforgettable weekend together, while celebrating the unity that has defined the community throughout it all.

A fitting farewell

For many fans, the footage will undoubtedly evoke mixed emotions. Seeing the fully built RED stage without an audience brings back memories of the pandemic, when festivals were also forced to take place without visitors. At the same time, Q-dance emphasizes that tonight is not about what was taken away, but about celebrating everything the Tribe has created together.

During the premiere, Q-dance will also reveal the dates for Defqon.1 Weekend Festival 2027. The Endshow will be available to watch for free on the Q-dance YouTube channel and will remain online after the premiere.

Visitors who still have questions regarding tickets, compensation, or the cancellation can find more information in Q-dance’s official FAQ.
