Element officially joins Spoontech Records this week. After years of releases, joint performances and a strong connection with the label, the Rotterdam-based rawstyle artist becomes part of its official roster. It is a collaboration that has felt like a natural fit to many followers for a long time, but one that Element deliberately took his time with. “Now the time has come to join forces and continue that growth by taking a step that’s been a long time coming.”

he signing is announced with a special trailer and is immediately followed by new music. The two-track EP, consisting of ‘Joyless’ and ‘You Don’t Know’, showcases two different sides of Element’s sound. In doing so, the tracks immediately underline what this new partnership is all about: even as part of Spoontech, the Rotterdam-based artist has the freedom to remain completely true to himself.

The connection between Element and Spoontech began long before he released music on the label himself. During his early years, he could regularly be found front row at performances by Spoontech artists and grew up with the label’s dark and distinctive sound. When he later broke through as an artist himself, a collaboration seemed like a natural fit.

His first official Spoontech release arrived in May 2020 with ‘Dropping Bombs’, a collaboration with Criminal Mayhem. One month later, his remix of The Purge – ‘Beyond Imagination’ followed. The track went on to become one of the five best-performing Spoontech releases of all time. With only his second release on the label, Element already had one of the biggest tracks in Spoontech history to his name.

Element and Spoontech continued to grow closer

Despite that connection, an official signing did not happen for years. Element first wanted to further establish his own identity and position within the scene, while making sure that a label deal would not limit his individual profile. At the same time, he was looking for stability, creative freedom and a clear long-term vision within a permanent team. “The strong connection I always felt with Spoontech and its following played a big part in certain decisions I made while growing as an artist and producer,” Element explains.

Meanwhile, the collaboration became increasingly visible. In 2024, he played a B2B with Chapter V at Intents Festival and later that year appeared at Spoontech Society. In 2025, ‘The Customer’ with The Smiler was released on the label, after which the two performed together during Spoontech Society’s 15th-anniversary edition.

That development continued in 2026. In May, Chapter V and Element released ‘WALL OF SOUND’, while at Intents Festival he closed the Fanaticz stage alongside Vasto and Dark Entities. Over the past few years, Element has therefore become increasingly connected with several artists from Spoontech’s current generation.

“A real full-circle moment”

Now that Element has established his own position within the scene and Spoontech has further developed its team and long-term vision, the partnership is being made official. According to the label, the signing feels like the completion of a full-circle journey. “From standing front row at Spoontech events to officially joining the family and helping shape the future of the label. Element’s signing feels like a real full-circle moment for all of us!” Spoontech says.

The signing kicks off with the two-track EP ‘Joyless’ and ‘You Don’t Know’. Later this year, Element will also return to Spoontech Society. In December, he will play B2B with Spoontech Eternal act Hardstyle Mafia, this time for the first time as an official member of the roster.
