GLDY LX has released her new concept EP ‘Pretty Girls Rage’. Released via FVCK GENRES, the project sees her join forces with Acina, Karina Rosee, Deetox and Lady Faith. The four collaborations bring together artists from across the globe and showcase how different hard dance styles can strengthen one another. Influences from hardstyle, rawstyle, hard techno and jumpstyle come together in one international project.

According to GLDY LX, the concept was clear from the very beginning. Rather than creating a collection of individual collaborations, she wanted to make an EP centred around collaboration and creative freedom. “From day one, I knew I wanted to create a concept EP with female artists. Not because women have anything to prove, but because I believe there is so much talent out there that should come together more often. I wanted to create a project where every artist could fully be themselves.”
International collaborations
Each collaboration on the EP has its own character. On ‘Baddie’, GLDY LX teams up with German artist Acina, someone she had wanted to make a track with for years. “Years ago, I saw Acina perform at a show in Germany. Her performance and energy always stayed with me. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to work with her someday.”
On ‘Extra Ordinary Raver’, GLDY LX connects with Mexico through Karina Rosee. “Karina brings a completely unique energy and sound.” According to GLDY LX, the collaboration perfectly fits her goal of bringing different cultures and perspectives within hard dance together on ‘Pretty Girls Rage’.
For ‘My Soul’, she hit the studio with Deetox. GLDY LX describes her as “the rawstyle queen of the Netherlands” and particularly praises her long-standing influence on the scene. “Her strength, experience and distinctive sound made her the perfect artist for this collaboration.”
The EP closes with ‘Edge Runner’, a collaboration with American artist Lady Faith. According to GLDY LX, her long-standing role within the US hardstyle scene made her a fitting artist to complete the international project. “Having her as part of ‘Pretty Girls Rage’ gives the project an international character that I’m incredibly proud of.”

Different styles, one vision
It’s not just the artists on ‘Pretty Girls Rage’ who come from different parts of the world; musically, GLDY LX deliberately embraces variety as well. “Why limit yourself to one style when you can bring different worlds together?” That idea runs throughout all four tracks. “Hard dance is so much bigger than just one subgenre. Every artist brought their own sound, and that’s exactly what gave each track its own identity.”
According to GLDY LX, that philosophy perfectly aligns with FVCK GENRES, the label behind the EP. “Their vision is that music doesn’t have to fit into boxes, and that’s exactly what this EP represents. Different styles can coexist and actually make each other stronger.”
More than just music
With ‘Pretty Girls Rage’, GLDY LX ultimately wants to create something that goes beyond four new tracks. Above all, she hopes the project encourages others to look beyond existing boundaries. “I hope this project shows how powerful collaboration can be. Not just between female artists, but also between different countries, styles and ideas.”
“If this EP inspires other artists to collaborate more often, think beyond genres and strengthen each other creatively, then my mission is accomplished.”
