The Saints have turned one of the year’s biggest viral hits into an official remix. ‘Danza Kuduro’ was given a hardstyle makeover by the duo, before exploding on TikTok and even finding its way into the sets of EDM heavyweights such as Timmy Trumpet at Tomorrowland. The result: millions of views across social media and spectacular fireworks during several endshows.

For an entire generation, ‘Danza Kuduro’ is inseparably linked to the boulevards of sun-soaked party destinations, where cheap cocktails and hits like this one flowed freely in resorts such as Lloret de Mar and Sunny Beach. The original by Don Omar and Lucenzo was released in 2010 and went on to become an absolute summer classic in the years that followed. More than fifteen years later, The Saints are breathing new life into its instantly recognizable melodies and vocals.
“We noticed that so many tracks work with ‘Danza Kuduro’,” The Saints explain. Jules and Rick started experimenting with it and put the result online, where it quickly showed huge viral potential. “You can make endless mash-ups with it, like with ‘Beauty And A Beat’. We use these acapellas in the pub, and that’s where the idea came from.” And it turned out to be a major success.
From summer classic to viral hit
The fact that the remix is now getting an official release does not come completely out of nowhere. The Saints have been playing this summer anthem in almost all of their sets, from its premiere at EDC Las Vegas to Intents Festival. In fact, according to the duo, ‘Danza Kuduro’ has become their most requested track of the year. “We’ve done everything we could to get this one released.”
The track has also found a huge audience beyond the festival grounds. Thousands of TikTok videos have already been created using the remix. Long before its official release, the track had already reached a massive audience, while demand for a full version continued to grow. “Could it go from viral hit of the year to track of the year…?”
