Q-dance has just come out with an update regarding the coronavirus. As we already knew, festivals until the 1st of June – like QAPITAL and X-Qlusive Phuture Noize – have been cancelled, and among others Defqon.1, Dominator and The Qontinent still were on the schedule. “In these uncertain times, it is important for us to keep our fans informed properly.”
First of all the organisation introduced a new date for X-Qlusive Phuture Noize: Saturday the 12th of September in the AFAS Live. All tickets already purchased are valid for this edition. Also QAPITAL has been given a new date: the 3rd of April 2021, so one year later. “While this date might feel far away, it is a date we can look forward to with confidence!”
For now, Defqon.1 Weekend Festival, Dominator Festival and The Qontinent are not part of the prohibited events until the 1st of June by the Dutch and Belgium governments. “As for now, all events in The Netherlands scheduled to take place until the end of May are called. This means that Defqon.1, Dominator and The Qontinent are still taking place as scheduled. We expect, and hope, that both the Dutch and Belgian government will provide clarity concerning the summer before the end of April.”
IMPAQT will not take place this year
Because of the uncertain situation the coronavirus has caused, Q-dance had to cancel the upcoming edition of IMPAQT, which would take place in early September. Last year 20,000 visitors divided over 6 stages united at this festival, but the risk is now simply too big to let IMPAQT take place in 2020. “We hope you understand this decision.”
Over the last couple of weeks Q-dance broadcasted different livestreams named QONNECT. These will still take place in the future, to still make the most out of the lockdown situation. “We’ll be creating more QONNECT events in the near future. We’ll keep in touch.” Furthermore there’s also a special online X-Qlusive Phuture Noize coming our way.
Stay safe, stay home and #neverstopdancing. Together, we’ll save the summer!
