The road to the 15th edition of REBiRTH Festival has officially begun with the launch of the REBiRTH Podcast! In this four-part series, the organization and artists take you behind the scenes of the festival – from its very first edition to the impressive production that brings it to life. In the first episode, Ran-D and Warface look back on their best memories of the festival and reveal what visitors can expect from their exclusive sets.

On Saturday, the Gunz For Hire 15 Years Special will take place on the REBiRTH stage. Ran-D gives fans a glimpse of what’s in store: “We’re going to try and play all the gems from our career. It will be a journey through the entire Gunz for Hire discography. That’s quite a challenge, so we’re making a lot of short edits and mashups to fit as much as possible into 45 minutes.”
Warface also has a special set planned for the REBELLiON stage. However, this performance differs from his 2023 Trip Through Memory Lane set. “I will once again build up from the past to the present, but this time, I’ll also include gems from fellow artists to create a unique mix,” he reveals.
Bringing Back Old Tracks
Ferry, co-organizer of REBiRTH Festival, emphasizes the importance of keeping older tracks alive. “Major global artists always play their biggest hits, but in our scene, tracks often disappear quickly. The turnover rate is so high right now that a track released today might hardly be played a year from now.”
Warface agrees: “Bands tour their entire lives with the same hits, while we release new music at an increasingly fast pace. We produce so many tracks that we could, in theory, drop an album with twenty songs every year. I hope that, in the future, people will start appreciating older tracks more in regular sets again.”
Best Memories of REBiRTH
For Ran-D, his best memory of REBiRTH is undoubtedly the anthem he created with B-Front in 2011. “That track is still sung along to at the top of everyone’s lungs. I play it every year, and every year, it gives me goosebumps.” Warface confirms how iconic that anthem is: “It was one of the reasons I first attended REBiRTH. It’s still one of the most defining anthems ever made.”
Warface himself also has special memories of the festival: “REBiRTH was the very first festival I ever played at. In 2014, I was added to the lineup quite late, and it was the first place where I got to showcase my style. Almost ten years later, being able to host my own stage made it feel like everything had come full circle.”
