On April 10, 11, and 12, 2026, the Raamse Akkers in Haaren once again made way for REBiRTH Festival. With this, the 2026 festival season was officially opened. And with the opening of the new season, uptempo lovers received a nice welcome gift: the uptempo area RESiST was twice as large this year. And that was clearly a good move.

Twice as big, twice as much energy
On Friday and Saturday, RESiST was located in a fully covered tent, where the enlarged area immediately stood out. REBiRTH had announced the expansion beforehand, fitting the growing popularity of the uptempo genre. The stage was ten meters wider and thirty meters longer than last year, and as the icing on the cake, the ‘boiler room concept’ was applied in this area.
Premieres and surprising acts
Since the arrival of RESiST in 2022, every edition has delivered an unprecedented experience. And this edition brought a lot of news once again. For instance, Lekkerfaces presented his new act HYPER, and the duo Missy and DIMMA created a strong dynamic with Missy en DIMMA SLOPEN DE TENT.

Another premiere that drew a full RESiST area was NO PINO NO PARTY LIVE by Pinotello. “My inspiration was my own no pino no party concept,” the artist explains. “Basically what people always say: my sets are a party, and now I’ve taken it a step further. It’s a combination of new music and edits of existing music. I created the visuals myself, and actually everything surrounding it too. It was great fun to do and I can’t wait for the next show.”
Fiery sets and b2b moments
Spread throughout the weekend, various b2b sets, such as The Dark Horror vs Noxiouz and Latinity vs Luxo vs Maistrø, created a strong atmosphere in the uptempo area. Live sets by Tharoza (Live Or Die), Revealer (The Anger in Us), and Bössels, among others, also drew large crowds. Additionally, artists such as Dimitri K, Manifest Destiny, and The Dope Doctor were present at RESiST.

From indoor to outdoor: the same energy, a new setting
On Sunday, the RESiST area moved outdoors for, among others, the premiere of Angst voor Aalst and the Overdrive Showcase featuring Abaddon, Dark Individual, Rosbeek, Screecher, and Tharoza. With that transition to the open air, the setting changed, but the vibe remained the same. Wherever the uptempo community gathered, they brought the same unmistakable energy with them.
Uptempo proves growing popularity
The uptempo genre has experienced explosive growth in popularity in recent years. This growth in popularity is evident once again as Noxiouz has the honor of closing the REBiRTH mainstage on Sunday with his live act, The Catalyst.
With a build-up from low to high BPM (over 200), the uptempo artist manages to extract the last remnants of energy from the audience at the mainstage. With this set, Noxiouz is the first solo uptempo artist to close the REBiRTH Festival mainstage on Sunday.
RESiST confirms its place in the scene
With a larger area, strong premieres, and a community that brings the same strength everywhere, RESiST proved once again why it is a fixture at REBiRTH Festival. This edition not only set the tone for the festival season but also showed that uptempo continues to grow in popularity, creativity, and experience.
