How do you turn a discography of more than 200 tracks into a single live show? Warface is taking on that challenge at Supremacy with The Best Of. In just 45 minutes, Youri and Remco will take the crowd through almost fifteen years of Warface, with a total of 43 tracks making the final setlist. “I found it incredibly difficult to cut down the entire discography.”

Warface and Supremacy have been closely connected from the very beginning. The duo has performed at every edition in the Netherlands, Germany and Australia, creating several memorable moments along the way. Warface joined forces with E-Force to form War Force and also created an anthem for both the Dutch and Australian editions.

“For us, Supremacy was Qlimax,” Warface says about that special connection. “With the whole show experience and a top-of-the-bill line-up. For our sound, our movement and the fanbase at the time, that was the stage, the next step.”

The Best Of

This year, Supremacy once again asked the duo what they wanted to create especially for the event. Instead of coming up with yet another completely new live act, Warface decided to look back at everything they have built over almost fifteen years.

“We said: ‘There isn’t really going to be a new live act. But with fifteen years of Warface coming up, why don’t we make use of what we already have?’” The result is The Best Of, bringing together different sides of Warface in just 45 minutes. “In three quarters of an hour, we’re going to showcase the entire spectrum of Warface, but with a fresh touch. And there will be new music as well.”

With more than 200 tracks to choose from, narrowing it all down proved difficult. “I found it incredibly difficult to cut down that entire discography of more than 200 tracks.” Several older tracks have also been refreshed to fit better alongside their current sound, while The Best Of will feature brand-new music as well.

According to Warface, the name of the show should be taken quite literally. “Sometimes people confuse it with classics, but this really is everything. You’ll hear the full spectrum of what Warface is.” In the end, no fewer than 43 tracks made it into the 45-minute show. “I’ve already finished the tracklist and I really want to keep it in that Supremacy spirit. It’s high energy, I can tell you that. It’s really going to go off.”
