Hard News launches Guess The Track today: a new online game where harder styles fans can put their music knowledge to the test and find out how quickly they can recognize a track. Players hear an ultra-short snippet and have to guess the correct track as quickly as possible. With playlists covering hardstyle, raw, hardcore, uptempo, classics and various artists, it all comes down to one question: how much of a track do you need to recognize it?

Every group of friends has that one person. The one who recognizes the next track at a festival as soon as the first few sounds are mixed into the current one, while everyone else still has no idea what is coming. After putting in some serious practice on Guess The Track, you might finally be able to beat them. So, can you recognize a track in just 0.1 seconds?
For fans who live for festival weekends and the tracks of their favorite DJs, Guess The Track offers a new way to share that passion. There are plenty of games that put your music knowledge to the test, but hardly any dedicated entirely to the harder styles. With Guess The Track, hardstyle, raw, hardcore, uptempo and classics finally get a game of their own.
How does Guess The Track work?
Every round starts with an ultra-short snippet of a track. Think you already know what you are hearing? You can submit your answer straight away. Need a little more? You can extend the snippet and listen again.
But the longer you listen, the fewer points you earn. So, if you recognize a track from just a fraction of a second, you will be rewarded with a higher score. This way, you can not only find out how good your own music knowledge really is, but also compete with your friends to see who can recognize tracks the fastest.

From hardstyle and raw to uptempo and classics
Guess The Track is all about the harder styles. At launch, players can choose from various playlists covering hardstyle, raw, hardcore, uptempo and hardstyle classics.
Whether you know every new raw release by heart, never miss an uptempo track or think nobody can beat you when it comes to classics, each category puts your music knowledge to the test in a different way.
Can you beat the artists themselves?
In addition to the different genres, more than twenty artist playlists are available at launch. Headhunterz, Rebelion, Angerfist, Dual Damage and D-Block & S-te-Fan are among the artists with their own playlists in Guess The Track.
And fans are not just competing against each other. The artists themselves can also play their own playlists and set a score. Then it is up to you to beat it. Because who knows: maybe you know your favorite artist’s tracks even better than they do.
