Into The Madness celebrated its fifth anniversary last Saturday with 13,000 Nomads at Seepark Zülpich. With five stages spread around the lake, perfect late-summer weather and harder styles sounding across the festival grounds, all ingredients were there for a packed day. From Da Tweekaz at sunset to fireworks above the lake: this is how Into The Madness celebrated its biggest edition so far.

With temperatures around 21 degrees Celsius, Into The Madness could hardly have asked for better festival weather. While clouds occasionally covered the sun, it stayed dry for almost the entire day. Combined with the unique setting of Seepark Zülpich, where stages are spread around the lake and visitors regularly find themselves walking alongside the water, it immediately gave Into The Madness that typical late-summer festival feeling.

This year, there was even more to discover around the lake. A brand-new stage had appeared directly on the beach, while the Core Stage had grown considerably compared to previous editions. Throughout the day, all five stages attracted their own crowds, making it clear that the 13,000 Nomads had plenty to choose from.

Da Tweekaz soundtrack the sunset at Into The Madness

As the sun slowly started to disappear behind Zülpicher See, more and more visitors made their way towards the mainstage. There was a good reason for that: Da Tweekaz had been given one of the most fitting time slots of the entire day.

As this year’s anthem makers, the Norwegian duo had the honour of playing their Into The Madness anthem in front of a packed mainstage. With the last daylight disappearing behind the festival grounds and the show production in full swing, the anthem became one of those moments where the setting of Into The Madness really came into its own.

Galactixx provided another melodic highlight. His remix of Frontliner’s ‘Discorecord’ once again proved to be made for big festival crowds, with its familiar melody creating one of the goosebump moments of the day. And his role wasn’t over there: when the Endshow started later that evening, no fewer than two Galactixx tracks made it into the soundtrack.

From the beach to the hardest stage of the festival

The new beach stage proved to be a fitting addition to a festival that revolves so much around its lakeside location. Instead of simply placing another area somewhere on the grounds, Into The Madness made use of what makes Seepark Zülpich different in the first place: the water and beach surrounding it.

On the other end of the harder styles spectrum, there was the Core Stage. Hosted by Inurfase, the area was noticeably bigger than in previous years. That extra space was needed, as the stage attracted a packed crowd for large parts of the day. Those looking for the hardest and fastest sounds of Into The Madness knew exactly where to go.

The energy didn’t go unnoticed by the artists either. Mish summed up her experience afterwards: “Nothing like a Musical Madness-Party for real. Energy is always 10/10.”

Fireworks over Zülpicher See

After a full day around the lake, all eyes eventually turned towards the final show. The fifth edition came to an end with the Into The Madness endshow, as fireworks lit up the sky above Zülpicher See and brought the festival to its final climax.

It was a fitting ending to an edition in which Into The Madness once again showed how much the festival has grown. Five years after the first edition, 13,000 visitors now filled the grounds around the lake, while stages had become bigger and a completely new area had been added.

And the Nomads already know when they can return. Musical Madness has confirmed that Into The Madness will be back at Seepark Zülpich on Saturday, September 4, 2027.
